I'm a hybrid user and product researcher, data scientist, and computational neuroscientist fascinated by our visual world and how humans and machines perceive it. I've researched how human brains perceive 2D imagery and 3D imagery, and how perception affects data visualization. I've developed techniques to improve data visualization design using crowdsourcing, and used machine learning to build probabilistic models of the visual brain. I'm currently Head of Product at Enlitic where I am interested in deep learning and how it can be used to make the world a better place by improving the way we use health care data.
I also have a personal passion for creating visual culture through art and technology and have been honored to produce beautiful interactive musical visualizations with Philip Glass, and digital tools for audio-visual creativity.
